Pick Now »Set For Life is an annuity game that gives you the opportunity to win payments of £10,000 every month for 30 years. It is the first ever annuity lottery to be made available in the UK, paying out its top two prizes in instalments rather than a one-off lump sum. You can play Set For Life by filling out a playslip from any authorised retailer in the UK, or by entering online.
You need to pick five main numbers between 1 and 47, and a Life Ball from 1 to 10. You must also specify how many lines you would like to play, and whether you want to enter more than one consecutive draw. This can be done by marking the relevant boxes on your playslip or online.
Alternatively, generate a random line of numbers at a retailer by asking for a Quick Pick ticket from the lottery counter, or by selecting the Quick Pick option online. You can check the results on this page shortly after each draw has taken place.
There is lots to play for in Set For Life, with eight different prizes to be won in each draw. You can win £5 by matching just two numbers, and the more numbers you match, the bigger your prize. The top prize – monthly payments of £10,000 for 30 years – can be yours by matching all six numbers. The table below shows what prizes are on offer and the odds of winning each:

*All prize amounts are fixed, and will not fluctuate in value between draws. However, the top two prize tiers may be capped depending on how many winners there are. There is a limit of £16 million available to pay out Match 5 + 1 winners in each draw, while the maximum payout for Match 5 winners in a single draw is £2 million. The maximum prize fund for each tier will be split between winners if the total payout would exceed the limit.
The National Lottery can announce Super Chance draws at any date, making it more likely to win the top prize. In these special draws, you also win £10,000 a month for 30 years if you match five main numbers without the Life Ball. The odds of winning the top prize therefore improve to 1 in 1,533,939. If the top prize is not won in a Super Chance draw, another Super Chance draw will be held in the next draw.
Set For Life prizes worth up to £500 can be claimed from any retailer if you played in-store, and winnings up the same value will be paid into your account if you played online. You will need to get in touch with The National Lottery directly if you are a winner of one of the two annuity prizes. If a winner dies before receiving all their monthly payments, the remaining amount will be transferred to their estate.
